This is the original ZIP file from the developers, patching the game up to v1.1, the last official release. This patch is very important to install, as it is required to connect to the multiplayer servers, it includes the map editor and mod tools, and it contains many important bug fixes. Read the contained file "READMEPATCH1.txt" for specifics, if you'd like.

You may obtain this file from: http://download.fileplanet.com/ftp1/112 ... h_v1.1.zip or from here:
lotd_patch_v1.1.zip
(8.51 MiB) Downloaded 1 time

To install:

MAKE SURE THAT YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE ORIGINAL GAME FIRST.
IF YOU HAVE INSTALLED THE ORIGINAL GAME INTO YOUR \PROGRAM FILES\ OR \PROGRAM FILES (x86)\ FOLDER - FIRST UNINSTALL THE GAME, THEN REINSTALL IT INTO A FOLDER OUTSIDE OF \PROGRAM FILES . THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR ALL VERSIONS OF WINDOWS SINCE VISTA.

Download file lotd_patch_v1.1.zip
Open file lotd_patch_v1.1.zip
Double click the "LOTD - Patch 1" folder.
Double click the "Setup.exe".
A screen will come up verifying that you are intending to install the English version of Groove Games\Land Of The Dead Version 1101, by Brainbox Games.
Click "Next >".
A screen will come up with the "END-USER LICENSE AGREEMENT".
Click "I Agree".
A screen will come up asking you for the installation folder OF THE ORIGINAL GAME. DO NOT just blindly click "Next >" here, make sure that the Destination Folder is the SAME FOLDER where the original game is installed. The installer will *NOT* test to see if the game is already there.
Enter the correct folder into the "Destination Folder" box, and then...
Click "Next >".

The installation should complete.

The next time you run the game, there should be a "v1.1" located in the upper right hand corner of the display. If that does not display, then you are NOT running the official 1.1 patch, and you really should attempt to follow these instructions again. If you are having difficulty, please post detailed information about what is going wrong, and hopefully someone will be along shortly to help you out. :-)
